Application Coating

Corrosion Resistant

TC Ceramic, by its nature, is anti‐corrosive, because it adheres directly to the surface material and no longer allows moisture to reach the surface. Because of the adhesion method, the environment for corrosion is all but eliminated. (TC Ceramic is not sold as an anti‐corrosive material, but the anti‐corrosive benefits are a remarkable by product.)

Color Options

We offer TC Ceramic in white and black. White is used to reflect solar energy to keep products cool and black is used to absorb solar energy to insulate warm products from cold temperatures. The different colours combined with the high-end insulation properties make this a very versatile product.

Concrete Structures

TC Ceramic can be applied directly on a concrete surface to provide thermal insulation for the concrete without having to build internal or external wall space for insulation. (Recommended 40 mils –or 1 mm) TC Ceramic can be protected from damage or abuse by floor covering when applied to a concrete floor, or, by a urethane when on a floor, wall or ceiling where damage may be a concern.

Acoustic Application

Sound Dampening

TC Ceramic sound dampening properties can be utilized by applying to external walls of noisy rooms. You will get a noticeable difference from as little as 1mm of application.

Machine Noise

The relentless, loud humming of machinery can be dulled by using TC Ceramic.

Hearing Protection

Damage to hearing over time is a very real threat to a lot of industrial industries. Machinery can be incredibly loud. When used correctly, TC Ceramic can help with this issue.

Personnel Safety

Hot surfaces

TC Ceramic can help reduce the surface temperature of hot running machinery. This enables employees to be less likely to suffer accidental burns from any hot surfaces.

Ear Protection

TC Ceramic has sound dampening properties. This means your employees will be subject to less exposure to a damaging level of noise.

Safer Environment

Combining the noise suppression properties and a lower surface temperature on your machinery and pipework makes for a safer environment for your employees.

Insulation Coating

Condensation

By using TC Ceramic directly on the substrate surface, condensation can be minimized or eliminated on the outside of cold or chilled pipe. (Thickness of coating determines outcome) Has proven to be effective in Arena's, commercial freezers and coolers in stopping condensation. (Large Energy Savings)

Air Ducting

By using TC Ceramic on the outside of warm air ducts (dust collection systems and bag‐houses) it will minimize or eliminate condensation and build up on the inside of the system. This will help minimize corrosion.

Cost Savings

Due to TC Ceramic’s ability to be applied directly to hot surfaces you can save costs by not having to alter any manufacturing processes. This has been tested up to 500f although we recommend no higher than 400F to minimize pealing risks.

TECHNOLOGY

All the materials that are used in the construction of your home or business absorb and transfer Heat. 80% - 95 % of this heat is transferred! Standard insulation works by slowing down the RATE of transfer of the heat that has been absorbed by the walls, and roof or your home. Heat ALWAYS flows from the warmer side to the cooler side of an object by one or more of the following ways:

Conduction
- Conduction is the transfer of heat through a solid object. When one part of an object is heated, the molecules within it begin to move faster and more vigorously, when these molecules hit other molecules within the object they cause heat to be transferred through the entire object.

Convection
- Convection is the transfer of heat by the movement of a fluid or gas. Inside a wall cavity air removes heat from a warm interior wall, then circulates to the colder exterior wall where it is lost.

Radiation - Any object will radiate heat to cooler objects around it by giving off "heat waves". This is a direct transfer of heat from one object to another, without heating the air in between. This is the same process in which the Earth receives heat from the Sun or a wood stove supplies heat to its surroundings. TC Ceramic material has unique energy saving properties that reflect heat while dissipating it. The hollow ceramic microsphere reflective quality affects the warming phenomenon called "Mean Radiant Temperature," where heat waves from a source such as direct sunlight cause a person to feel warmer, even though the actual air temperature is no different between a shady and sunny location. It is the molecular friction within the skin caused by the sun's radiant energy that makes the body feel warmer.

TC Ceramic shows through ASTM certification to reflect 98% of UV Energy-which also reflects wind chill and light. Those abilities add longevity to any substrate it’s applied to.

The requirements of TC Ceramics used for buildings differ from those of a space shuttle. on buildings, the task is to reflect radiant heat, reduce heat build-up and transfer through walls, ceilings and roofs. The space shuttle is concerned with reflecting and dissipating heat from friction. Since it is not practical to put tiles on buildings, coatings incorporating the same hollow microspheres are used. Different methods with the same end result.

Rooms coated with hollow ceramic microsphere systems (ceiling and walls) will feel warmer at the same temperature than before the application. This is the same phenomenon as a person being outside in the sun and feeling hotter than being in the shade even though the temperature is the same. further, walls coated with these coatings will be more durable as the ceramic microspheres create a hardened surface.

With TC Ceramic, think in terms of dissipation. other types of insulation just slow down the transfer of heat. TC Ceramics can dissipate heat (depending on what side you apply it to), transferring it back into the atmosphere or into the room. The heat never gets into or out of the building to become a problem. The same is true for air conditioning. A cube of ceramic material can be heated to 500 F or cooled to near absolute zero and be safely picked up with bare fingers only seconds later, while the cube is still glowing red-hot or frozen in the center. TC Ceramic makes the heat or cold dissipate from the surface.

When the coating dries, it will tend to bring the ceramic microspheres closer together. This is critical. This creates the ‘Arm in Arm’ barrier to temperature transfer. The combination of a closely packed, high percentage of ceramic microspheres and the proper resins creates the reflection, insulative, and dissipative properties of the coatings.

NOTE:
This is a double wall lid on the barbeque, to apply this coating on a single wall lid it would be to hot. TC Ceramic has a limit of 500
°F. Still very impressive the lid does get to 450°F  and you are still able to touch it without getting burnt.
Shows Thermal Efficiency.
